Handwoven Caracoli Placemats

These are beautiful circular placemats handwoven by women in Usiacuri, Columbia. Each is expertly crafted by artisans weaving a lace like pattern around a wire frame. The result is a remarkable elegant and sturdy placemat. 13.75″ diameter.

The cooperative formed for the artisans of Usiacuri, Columbia has become a major source of employment for the community. Participants are trained from an early age to expertly produce handwoven products of the highest quality using traditional techniques.
